Database of Non linear Force-Free Magnetic Field of the Flare-Productive Active Regions

We are preparing a database of non-linear force free fields (NLFFFs) calculated from high-quality vector magnetograms obtained by the solar optical telescope on Hinode. We plan to open this database to scientists in the near future. Three-dimensional structures of coronal magnetic fields are very important for understanding solar active phenomena (e.g., solar flares). It is, however, very difficult to observe coronal magnetic fields at present. The scientific subjects targeted in this database are the solar flare trigger mechanism, the storage and release processes of magnetic field energy, and coronal mass ejections. The Hinode satellite has obtained a large number of magnetograms. We need program codes to calculate the NLFFF automatically from these magnetograms and prepare them. We have already tested some codes, and at present, we are trying to calculate NLFFFs. In the next year, we will perform precise analyses of a few active regions.
